Sal Stallante collars Blackie just after watering him. Andrew gets ready to mount his horse. Both Andrew and Blackie did a wonderful job covering the grounds. Just several minutes to pickup, Blackie was seen out in the distance running at top speed easily covering huge amounts of the country.

Troben Hansen and Lorene Brock in which the Derby Open Classic is in her honor, present the trophy to the winner. The placements were 1st Waupoca's Diamond Hoss (Rich Robertson), 2nd Just Unforgettable (Mike McGinnis) and 3rd Blackie (Andrew Fenny).

Pat Lamantia spoke briefly on behalf of Purina. He said the trial was well conducted and that he had a great time riding and watching well trained bird dogs during the various stakes. Purina also provide bags of dog food for everyone in camp.


Andrew Fenny with Clyde Queen just moments after Clyde gave him a birthday card that everyone signed. On top of placing 3rd in the open derby, Andrew turned 18 years of age. What a great way to celebrate a birthday.

Sam Madamba with Clyde and Mrs. Queen. The Reno trials are quite popular with field trialiers and their wives. Sparks and Reno are close by and provides various entertainment for everyone.
